How to Improve 'English Spelling' of Your Child.

SPELL BEE ACADEMY is in the forefront of Spelling education. We have an "ANNUAL LEARNING PLAN" for children of every grade/class (from Nursery / Prep to Class 10).

Any child from any country can register for it any day of the year. Schools are not involved in any manner with this program.


The Annual Learning Plan (ALP) is fully designed by Debashis Pati, a Spelling Habit Creator. He is the Founder of Spell Bee Academy. He has authored the maximum number of Spelling books as well as Spelling tests, in the world. All the contents of the ALP are his copyright.


He believes that every child must reach the milestone of correct spelling knowledge of 10,000+ words by Class 7. ALP is designed towards that.

Further, ALP provides the environment of regular tests and multiple exams. We learn maximum, when we prepare for exams (with good study material and sufficient time on hand to learn).

1. What does the Annual Spelling Learning Plan (ASLP) include?

The ASLP has three main components:

1. Every Sunday Tests
   Weekly live spelling tests on Zoom continue until April 2026. These are stress-free, preparation-free sessions focused on learning from mistakes. Students can take the test from anywhere with internet access.



2. Spelling Certificate Exams
   H&D International Spelling Bee Olympiad exams are scheduled based on class level. Exams and learning materials are provided online, including certificates.



3. Spelling Practice Tests
   Optional practice-only tests, not part of the official program.

2. For which grades/classes is this ASLP suitable?

Nursery, Junior KG (LKG), Senior KG (UKG), and Classes 1 to 10.

3. What is the fee for ASLP (until April 2026)?

• First Timers: ₹1000
• Repeaters: ₹2500

This is a one-time fee inclusive of all materials, exams, and certificates. Valid worldwide, for all grades. (Note: Repeaters are those who have registered at least once earlier for our Every Sunday Tests. If never done, then one is a First Timer.)

4. What are the timings for the Every Sunday Tests?

Timings are based on IST for the academic year 2025–2026. Some countries (namely Japan, Australia, Canada, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia etc.) may have different slots. Please contact us (whatsapp 91 9820354672) for details.

5. What if I miss a Sunday Test?

Tests are conducted live and not recorded, but answer keys are provided. Students can take the test from any location with internet access. A memorable instance was when Akshaya Pokala from Dubai took the test during a desert safari!

6. When are the Spelling Bee Certificate Exams?

The Certificate Exams must be completed by April 2026.

The exact date and time are flexible within April 2026, so you may choose what works best for your child.

Note: The weekly Sunday Tests are not considered Certificate Exams. Only designated certificate-level tests fall under this category.

7. I do not stay in India. Can my child participate?

Absolutely! Children from any country are welcome to participate.

To date, we’ve had students from every inhabited continent take part in our program.

8. My child is very young (Nursery / Jr. KG / Sr. KG). He/she can't write yet or sit for long. Can we take the Sunday Tests?

Yes, definitely. A parent or guardian can accompany the child during every test session.

You may assist your child with reading, writing, or pronouncing words — as long as the process is followed sincerely. This is a team effort, and your support is welcome!

9. Can I have a demo or trial session? (This question is for Sr. KG)

We’re sorry, but we do not offer demo or trial sessions.

10. Are there any Spelling Workbooks or Books available for purchase?

Yes, workbooks are available but are independent of our Annual Learning Plan.

Books can only be shipped to addresses within India.

You can purchase them from our Amazon India store (Phonics eStore).

All books are published under the Pati’s brand — a registered trademark with the Government of India.

11. I do not stay in India. How can I buy the books?

Many parents living abroad have followed a simple process over the years:

They place the order on amazon.in using an Indian delivery address (friend/relative). We ship the books there. The books are then carried abroad either by their friend, relative, or by the parents themselves when they return from their trip to India.

There is no change in price for you. We recommend that you coordinate with us in advance and plan the purchase well in time to ensure smooth delivery.

12. Are there any free Spelling Learning resources?

13. Do you teach as part of this program, ALP?

No, we do not provide teaching as part of the ALP. It is a structured self-paced learning program.

14. My child is weak in spellings. Can I register for both the current and a lower grade?

Yes, you certainly can. Registering for two grades is allowed and often helpful for revision.
